SENATOR ALI PAYS GRATITUDE VISIT TO THE TRADITIONAL RULERS AND POLITICAL LEADERS IN IBARAPALAND

In a display of gratitude and solidarity, Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has embarked on a visit to traditional rulers and political leaders in Ibarapa zone.  This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan.  This visit, perfectly timed during the festive season, provided an opportunity for the senator to express his gratitude for the support he received from the royal fathers during the last election. Alhaja Tawakalitu Alli, the wife of Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the welfare of the elderly by distributing palliatives to them. No fewer than 100 elderly persons benefitted from the outreach programme held on Friday in Ibadan at the Aliiwo's palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland.  It would be recalled that her husband, Senator Alli had in the last six months, distributed palliatives worth N70 million to 3000 traders and 3000 widows in the senatorial district. Many have described the gesture from the couple has a demonstration of their commitment to serving the people of Oyo South and would continue to work towards creating a better as well as more inclusive society for all. BUDGET: OYO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PASSES 2024 BUDGET

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly has gone to his Facebook page to announce that 2024 financial estimate which Governor Seyi Makinde presented to the house weeks ago has been passed into law. His statement; "After two weeks of intensive budget defences by Ministries, Agencies and Departments of Oyo State Government, we passed the 2024 Budget proposal into law. A total of four hundred and thirty-eight billion, four hundred and forty-seven million, eight hundred and seventy-eight thousand, five hundred forty-eight naira, thirty-nine kobo (N438,447,878,548.39) was approved as budget for the 2024 fiscal year. This is just the beginning of our job as Lawmakers. President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Ondo State House of Assembly to delegate power to Deputy Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. Tinubu communicated this directive during a meeting convened to address the leadership crisis in Ondo on Monday.
