BUDGET: OYO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PASSES 2024 BUDGET

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly has gone to his Facebook page to announce that 2024 financial estimate which Governor Seyi Makinde presented to the house weeks ago has been passed into law.
His statement;

"After two weeks of intensive budget defences by Ministries, Agencies and Departments of Oyo State Government, we passed the 2024 Budget proposal into law.

A total of four hundred and thirty-eight billion, four hundred and forty-seven million, eight hundred and seventy-eight thousand, five hundred forty-eight naira, thirty-nine kobo (N438,447,878,548.39) was approved as budget for the 2024 fiscal year.

This is just the beginning of our job as Lawmakers. We will hit the ground running by embarking on full legislative oversight to ensure optimal performance of the budget. 

Special thanks to the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation and State Economic Planning for a job well done. 
I will like to also appreciate Oyo State Government's Ministries, Departments and Agencies for cooperating with the House of Assembly in this regard. We have told the MDAs to be ready to work their fingers to the bone towards the full and successful implementation of the 2024 Budget.

I am optimistic that the budget will help drive the economic recovery agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde for Oyo State in the upcoming year".
