ONDO CRISIS: PRESIDENT TINUBU DIRECTS ONDO ASSEMBLY TO INVOKE DOCTRINE OF NECESSITY TO EMPOWER LUCKY AIYEDATIWA

President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Ondo State House of Assembly to delegate power to Deputy Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

Tinubu communicated this directive during a meeting convened to address the leadership crisis in Ondo on Monday.
The President emphasized that the power transfer should occur unconditionally, citing the 'Doctrine of Necessity' The process is expected to involve the use of an electronic signature (e-signature) as the ailing governor is reportedly too weak to sign any documents.

This decision allows Governor Akeredolu to take a medical leave for his well-being.

Residents of Owode Housing Estate, zone 4, Apata, Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Friday, staged a peaceful and advocacy protest against undeveloped land measuring over four thousand plot of virgin lands and many abandoned houses, calling on Governor Seyi Makinde to take urgent step in addressing the problems.
