IBADAN NORTH BYE ELECTION, I WIL WIN THE ELECTION FOR MY PARTY, APC, IF CHOSEN...ADEROGBA

A  frontline aspirant for the ticket of APC in the forthcoming Ibadan North federal constituency bye election, Hon. Adebayo Taofik Aderogba, mni, has promised to win the vacant seat for APC if chosen to be the face of the party.

The Labour Union Leader  cum politician made this assurance while featuring on Jamz 100.1 FM's popular Yoruba political program  OKODORO on Friday.

Recall that the seat of Ibadan North federal constituency became vacant two months ago in the house of representatives when the last occupant, Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi died in an Abuja hospital.

INEC is constitutionally empowered to conduct election in any vacant constituency within 90 days.

Earlier the presenter of the program, Amb. Olayemi Afolabi has asked his guest to talk about his unique credentials ahead of his co-contestants and why APC should give him the ticket.

Responding, Hon. Aderogba, mni, said " God have being preparing me for this position because I am the most prepared for it when it comes to local, national and international exposure.

In the area of education, I attended The Polytechnic Ibadan for my ND, Kwara Polytechnic for my HND, I also attended University of Ibadan for my masters in Industrial psychology and lastly I bagged PGD from University of Liverpool, in United kingdom.

Permit me to add this Amb. Afolabi, (presenter) the mni in front of my name is as a result of a course of study and training I was exposed to at the National Institute of Policy and Strategy Studies courtesy of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Kuru, near Jos. It's a yearly course of study that must be recommended and approved by the presidency for either Nigeria Labour Congress,  NLC or Trade Union Congress,TUC so I used the slot of TUC.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari recommended me for the study and it has tremendous positive impact on me. All these credentials, you will agree with me put me ahead of my co- aspirants because; the study took me to Delta, Bauchi, Tanzania, Geneva in Switzerland for International Labour Organization Training and I have equally been to the best labour center in the world which is Israel"

How do you intend to win the election if you secured the ticket 

" Thank you for this thoughtful question, Ibadan North local government houses many privilege institutions such as UI, The Polytechnic Ibadan, NTA, etc it is a cosmopolitan local government and any one that wants to represent it in the house of representatives must be dynamic and innovative, I am a proud son of the soil whose parents are  doing well for the society and people have being using the name; Aderogba to win elections in Ibadan North so coming out to the contest for this bye election will make it easier for our great party APC to win. From UCH, Agbowo, Samonda, Sabo, Bodija, Yemetu, Sango, Mokola, Oke Itunu etc across ward 1 to ward12, I am a known face and a known name. We have done a lot for our people in the area job opportunities, payment of WAEC and NECO etc.

The moment my party picked me as the flag bearer, APC has won the election because our people are with us.

What would you do if elected? the host, Abm. Olayemi Afolabi asked 

"The bulk of our jobs is in effective oversight functions at the committee level, I will be alive to my responsibility because this is what I have being doing for the past 15 years as a Union Leader in the Nigeria Beverages and Food Tobbaco Companies and you know if I can stand in front of businessmen that are billionaires to protect workers welfare , it won't be difficult for me to do as a lawmaker. I will also work for the passage of a bill that will enable local government financial autonomy to compliment the vision of president Tinubu in seeing development at the local government level

Been the immediate past Deputy National President of the Union of   Food Beverages and Tobbaco Companies in Nigeria it   will help me to continue to protect workers in both private and public sectors"
