OLUBADAN ELEVATES FOUR HIGH CHIEFS IN BALOGUN LINE

Yesterday, Friday 81th September, 2026 His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Sen) Adewolu Ladoja approved the promotion of four High Chiefs in the Balogun chieftaincy line.

1. Oba Abiodun Azeez Agagugu: Elevated from Ashipa Balogun to Osi Balogun of Ibadanland.

2. Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin: Elevated from Ekerin Balogun to Ashipa Balogun of Ibadanland.

3. Oloye Agba (Sen) Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli: Elevated from Ekarun Balogun to Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland.

4. Oloye Agba Samuel Adegboyega Adeniran: Elevated from Abese Balogun to Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, thereby becoming a member of the Olubadan-in-Council.

Kabiyesi congratulated the newly promoted High Chiefs and charged them to continue to serve Ibadanland with dedication, loyalty and commitment to tradition.

The promotion to the position of Abese Balogun downwards will be announced later.
