JUBILATIONS AS ACCURATE FC TEAM WINS UNITY CUP OF JOHN MATTHIAS ETIM COMPETITION HELD AT APATA COMMUNITY GRAMMAR SCHOOL, APATA, IBADAN


It was a thing of joy for Accurate FC team as its won JOHN MATTHIAS ETIM FOUNDATION's under 16 soccer tournament, held between four soccer teams at the Apata Community Grammar School football field.

The matches that kicked started on Saturday among the four competing teams and ended on Sunday 5th January, 2025 is the first edition of the annual JOHN MATTHIAS ETIM FOUNDATION competition.

At the end of the semi-final and final games, Accurate FC that came first went home with hundred thousand naira,
Second position got fifty thousand naira while other teams that participated got an encouraging twenty five thousand naira each from JOHN MATTHIAS ETIM FOUNDATION 
The coach wasn't left out as he was also enabled with twenty five thousand naira.

The next edition which is coming up in 2026 promises to be more interesting as more fresh teams are eager to register and participate.

Integrity Media News reportedly gathered that many spectators that observed those matchs at the Apata Community Grammar School football field salute the brilliance initiative on the part of the chairman of the foundation, Amb. John MATTHIAS ETIM for deeming it fit to engage youthful talents through sports.

Recall that Integrity Media News reported last year that John ETIM who is a product of the school, through John MATTHIAS ETIM FOUNDATION had earlier built basketball pitch in the school premises to encourage sport activities while other infrastructural projects are currently going on in the Apata Community Grammar School, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State.
This first edition of Unity Games was in memory of late coach Georgio who was a coach to John MATTHIAS ETIM and honor to Georgio's family which also got 25k coach fee though his team did not participate and his first child was given Scholarship by the foundation until University level.
