FIFA had announced that every player participating in the World Cup group stage
will earn $30,000, with bonuses expected toincrease to $60,000 for playing in
the second round of the competition.
FIFA Women's World Cup Told Super Falcons That It Was Because Of Them, That(FIFA) Decided To Pay Players Monies Direct Into Their Bank Accounts.
“It is because of you (the Super Falcons) that for the first time in the history of FIFA that the FIFAWWC prize money will be paid directly to you, the players.”
This was said by the federation secretary in the dressing room of the Super Falcons after Republic Of Ireland draw on Monday.
Reacting to the news, Nigerian Football Federation Chairperson, Aisha Falode said contrary FIFA statement "players monies will still be ringfenced through the Nigerian Football Federation" She made the remark while featuring on Talk Radio in Lagos yesterday.
It's a shame that FIFA decided to compromise it's policies because of the abysmal incessant reports of players money and bonuses disappearing into the thing air in Nigerian football Team. A
