Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, Appointes Kano's In-law, Idris Ajimobi As Special Adviser.

 The son of former governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, Idris Ajimobi has been appointed as an aide to Deputy Senate President.

Idris Ajimobi, late former governor Abiola Ajimobi’s son, has been appointed Special Adviser (Special Duties) to DSP Jibrin Barau.
The young Ajimobi was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ibadan South West State Constituency 2.

It would be noted that Idris got married to the daughter of former governor of Kano State, Abdullah Umar Ganduje, political godfather to Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau.

Residents of Owode Housing Estate, zone 4, Apata, Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Friday, staged a peaceful and advocacy protest against undeveloped land measuring over four thousand plot of virgin lands and many abandoned houses, calling on Governor Seyi Makinde to take urgent step in addressing the problems. According to the protesters, evil people are using the avenue to perpetrate crimes against humanity. ADAMU CIROMA: STUDIED HISTORY ; APPOINTED CBN GOVERNOR, LATER FINANCE MINISTER

Was it fate? Was it competence? Whatever it was, Adamu Ciroma, a Historian, was the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from September 24, 1975 till June 28, 1977. Here's the story according TheCable: In 1975, the military government of Murtala Muhammed appointed Ciroma as the CBN governor. Kole Omotosho, in his book, Just Before Dawn, wrote that Ciroma, who was managing director of New Nigerian, was to be appointed the managing director of Daily Times, while Aliko Mohammed, an accountant, was to be made CBN governor. Omotosho said at the swearing-in, Murtala Muhammed mistakenly gave Ciroma the papers assigning him the governorship of CBN and Mohammed the papers as MD of Daily Times.
