Rotimi Ajanaku Sets To Win Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Federal Constituency On Saturday As Opinion Polls Favour Him.

The House of Representative candidate of Accord in Ibadan Northwest/Southwest; Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku, has been projected to win the February 25 House of Representative contest for the federal constituency.
In an opinion poll conducted by Integrity Group, Ajanaku is said to be leading other candidates from other political parties in the federal constituency based on variables such as political spread, popularity, philanthropic gestures, accessibility etc.
A statement by the organisers of the poll read, “By our projection above, the house of representative candidate of Accord, is expected to win the February 25th House of Rep Election.

“This survey, being the outcome of an opinion poll conducted by the group's data analysts team in the last two weeks pointed to Ajanaku as the potential winner of the election. The Accord candidate is rated higher than other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Stanley Olajide Adedeji (Odidi omo) which is also the incumbent, All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Saheed Akinade Fijabi, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Olayinka Gbolahof Ibikunle, Labour Party (LP) Mr Sunday Oni, and Social Democratic Party (SDP) Mr Rotimi Johnson Ojasope, using key variables such as political spread, religion, Resources, and Class, popularity, philanthropic gestures, accessibility etc”
According to the group director, Lukman Ajadi Orielegbe, the poll was conducted “through a combination of phone call survey, online poll, and one on one engagement of electorates via random selection across the 23 wards of the federal constituency. 

The online poll was conducted through a credible web platform whereby electorate were given the opportunity to select their preferred candidate by clicking on their names.  
The phone surveys was conducted professionally along the three major Nigerian languages of Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba as well as some ethnic groups within the federal constituency. This was done to create a balanced platform that gives sense of belonging to all. In conclusion, this surveys were designed to ensure that the results were accurate and unbiased.
The group also focused on areas, such as the spread of the political parties, the incumbency factors, religion and the personality of the candidates.

 According to their report, “We also identify in the course of our online poll the role of religious leaders, professional organisations, and the young population of voters and how it can impact on the victory of each of the leading candidates.

 The survey shows that majority are tired of the candidates that have representing them in the last 11years plus and they are yearning for fresh air which favoured Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku of Accord as the most electable candidate, owing to his antecedents in politics, human development and community services.
