Oyo South: Sharafadeen Abiodun Ali Is The Senator-Elect.

Barr. Sharafadeen Ali APC, has been declared the winner of Oyo South Senatorial District by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Ali scored 111,513 to defeat PDP candidate, Engr. Joseph Tegbe who polled 92,481.

Accord candidate, KOLAPO KOLA-DAISI took the third position with 33,641 votes.

Residents of communities in Ayegun-Oleyo as well as commuters in the Oluyole local government area can now finally heave sigh of relief as the lawmaker representing Oyo central senatorial district, Dr. Yunus Akintunde has finally facilitated the construction of the road. Tapping into solid network he has built over the years, Akintunde, before his election, had, together with his friends, decided to reconstruct a kilometer of the bad portion of the road. The Oyo-born politician who believes that  commuters within Ayegun, Oleyo, Odo Ona Elewe and others areas must experience new lease of life, had, for close to a year since he was inaugurated, lobbied to get the federal government construct the whole stretch of the road.
