Senator (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli (APC- Oyo South) has congratulated former Oyo First Lady, Dr. Florence Ajimobi, on her nomination as a non-career ambassador by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Ambassadorial List; Ex Oyo First Lady, Florence Ajimobi Makes List Among Others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent the names of 32 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, days after he sent the first batch of three names. In two separate letters to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu asked the Senate to consider and confirm expeditiously 15 nominees as career ambassadors and 17 nominees as non-career ambassadors. There are four women on the career ambassadors' list and six women on the non-career ambassadors' list. Among the non-career ambassador designates are Barrister Ogbonnaya Kalu from Abia, a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri (Delta), former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmud Yakubu, former Ekiti first lady, Erelu Angela Adebayo, and former Enugu governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. PROTEST: RESIDENTS OF OWODE ESTATE, ZONE 4, APATA, STAGE PROTEST AGAINST UNDEVELOPED LAND IN APATA.....SAYS IT CONSTITUTES CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY

Residents of Owode Housing Estate, zone 4, Apata, Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Friday, staged a peaceful and advocacy protest against undeveloped land measuring over four thousand plot of virgin lands and many abandoned houses, calling on Governor Seyi Makinde to take urgent step in addressing the problems. According to the protesters, evil people are using the avenue to perpetrate crimes against humanity. Addressing hundreds of protesters, President of Apata Youths Organization, Comrade Olaoluwa Paul Oyeniran called on the government of Oyo State to help the people of Owode Housing Estate zone 4 , Apata, reiterating that abandoning properties for over forty years constitute societal danger.
