SENATOR ALI CONGRATULATES FAGADE, ADEDOKUN OVER PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTMENTS TO KEY NATIONAL ROLES

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has extended heartfelt congratulations to two esteemed professionals from Oyo State, Dr Abisoye Fagade and Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, on their recent appointments by President Bola Tinubu.  This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan. It would be recalled that the president on Thursday appointed Fagade as the Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, while Adedokun was appointed Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.  Senator Alli commended the appointments of the duo, saying the appointment reflected the president’s commitment to harnessing the talents and capabilities of accomplished individuals to advance national progress. NATIONAL JUDICIAL COUNCIL SUSPEND JUDGES IN RIVER, IMO, OVER UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCTS

National Judicial Council suspends Justice G. C. Aguma of High Court of Rivers State from performing judicial functions for a period of one year without pay and also placed him on “Watch-List” for two years. The Judicial Council also recommended compulsory retirement of the chief judge of Imo State, Justice Chukwuemeka Chikeka and Grand Kadi of Yobe State, Kadi Babagana Mahdi, over falsification of their ages. The council cleared Justice Peter Lifu of any wrongdoing, says  he neither exhibited personal interest in the River state matter nor misconducted himself in the proceedings.
