Oyo Illuminated: A Discourse on Virtuous Governance and Expedited Development Under Barr. Sharafadeen Alli’s Prospective Administration, 2027// By Aderogba Taofik, mni

There exists within Oyo State a profound yearning—not merely for sustenance, but for governance that is competent, purposeful, and humane. A yearning for infrastructure that binds our agrarian hinterlands to thriving markets. For institutions of learning where pedagogy is actualized and intellect is cultivated. For a healthcare system that restores dignity rather than defers it. For leadership conceived as stewardship, not privilege. As the horizon of 2027 draws near, that collective yearning is crystallizing into expectation. It is the expectation of renewal. That expectation finds its embodiment in Barr. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland and Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District—an individual whose antecedents suggest he may be the catalyst Oyo requires to illuminate its path toward virtuous governance and expedited development. A luminary does not originate light; it refracts and directs it toward obscurity. Barr. Alli’s ...

SAVE THE HOUSE FIRST: From Grievance to Victory, Why APC Must Unite to Reclaim Oyo State in 2027.

An Open Letter to Fellow Progressives in Oyo State By Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK). “We must Navigate the Crossroads of Grievance, Inclusivity, and the 2027 Mandate on Motion”  Over the past few weeks, my office and personal communication channels have been flooded with messages from dedicated party faithful, key stakeholders, and passionate foot soldiers across Oyo State. Many of these engagements have been marked by a palpable sense of dissent, frustration, and deep-seated concern regarding the trajectory of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the primary process. I hear you loud and clear. It is both a duty and an honour to serve as a sounding board for your anxieties, and I do not take for granted the trust required to pour out your hearts to me during this politically charged season.   Let it be known that I do not sit in an ivory tower, detached from the emotional and structural realities of our movement. I intimately share...

OYO AHEAD: The Barr. Sharafadeen Alli’s Blueprint for Oyo State Development and Good Governance in 2027// By Comrade Aderogba Taofik, mni, FCPA, MILT, MICS

As Oyo State approaches the 2027 governorship race, the conversation among political stakeholders, civil society, and everyday citizens keeps returning to one question: Who has the antecedents, capacity, tested experience and vision to move Oyo from potential to prosperity? For many within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and across party lines, the answer increasingly points to Barr. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland and current Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District. The phrase  'Oyo Ahead'  is more than a campaign slogan. It is a statement of intent. It is a pledge to development that touches every LGA, and governance that puts people first. It speaks to a future where governance is measured not by noise, but by results. It speaks to a state where development touches every local government, and where good governance becomes the standard, not the exception.  Barr. Alli’s career shows a leader who has managed government...

Oyo 2027: Sheathing Our Swords for the Progress of Oyo APC Is Our Only Path to Victory By Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK).

I am addressing this statement as a direct, brotherly appeal to all my fellow gubernatorial aspirants who stood with me in the trenches under the banner of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). We have passed the stage of internal contests, and it is fundamentally not ideal for us to still be at loggerheads at this critical point in time. The primary election has come and gone, and our immediate, sacred duty now is to shift our focus toward rallying round to build the party, merge our formidable political structures, and build an atmosphere of genuine love and unity. This is a personal admonition and a heartfelt appeal from me to everyone to begin to rethink our path, look at the bigger picture, and define a unified way forward that guarantees the reclamation of the Agodi Government House.  While we talk about unity, I find it necessary to directly confront and completely undress the malicious lies and baseless allegations being peddled by merchants of d...

Major education stakeholders in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State on Monday threw their weight behind Governor Seyi Makinde and Akeem Olatunji's 2027 presidential and House of Representatives ambitions as well as other candidates of the African People's Movement (APM). They equally declared their readiness to mobilise support across the grassroots ahead of the next general elections towards the electoral success of the candidates. The endorsement came during a well-attended courtesy meeting with the Council boss, held at the Oluyole Multipurpose Hall, New Garage, Ibadan, where four prominent education-based associations jointly declared support for Governor Seyi Makinde as presidential candidate, Engr. Akeem Olatunji for the House of Representatives, Chief Bimbo Adekanmbi for governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo for Oyo Central Senatorial District, and Hon. Waheed Akintayo for the Oyo State House of Assembly. The associations that par...
