The pan-Yoruba, non-partisan sociocultural group, Yoruba Koya Leadership & Training foundation paid a courtesy visit to Professor Banji Akintoye in Benin Republic on Tuesday, 17th of October, 2023. According to the President of the Foundation, Otunba Giwa Deji Osibogun, "The purpose of the visit was to invite the erudite professor of history back home to Nigeria, from exile. We strongly believe that the time is rife for us all to re-strategize, re-engage Nigeria for the hopes and aspirations of the Yoruba populace in view of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
