CONGRATULATIONS TO HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE.

Image
A good wine taste good wherever it’s served …  His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde has stood tall among his equals , excelled profusely in qualitative governance hence the reward and recognition in the comity of counterparts. It’s very unsurprising his overwhelming endorsement as the Vice Chairman of the Governors' Forum in Nigeria which is just a tip of an iceberg. Oyo state has been plagued with leadership poverty long before now but today God has inundated us with a moving encyclopedia of ideas and an unrepentant executor of socioeconomic projects…  Say his name His Excellency Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde.Sir your magnificent performance at the just concluded Oyo International Economic Summit in London is still oscillating positive resonance within foreign and indigenous investors.  It will be selfish of me to exhaust this Congratulatory message on His Excellency Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde alone because Oyo state deserves to be commended and appreciated for offeri

LIFE OUTSIDE POWER IS CHALLENGING, SARAKI TELLS OUTGOING GOVERNORS.

Image
Eric Ikhilae, Abuja May 16, 2023 Incoming and outgoing governors were reminded yesterday that power is transient. They were asked to stay humble while getting ready for life after office, which has its challenges. Former Senate President and Kwara Governor, Bukola Saraki, and former Edo State Governor, Lucky Igbinedion, shared their experiences about life after public office. Their Niger and Gombe counterparts, Muazu Babangida Aliyu and Ibrahim Dankwambo, said with adequate planning, those out of the office can always get by. They urged people in public office to always plan their exit from the outset in order not to be caught unprepared when their tenure ends. The former governors spoke on Sunday night at a farewell dinner held in Abuja by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) for outgoing governors Saraki, who was a two-term governor and ex-Chairman of the NGF, reminded the outgoing governors that things will not remain as they were and cautioned them against int

IGNORE REQUEST TO STUDY ABROAD FROM PUBLIC OFFICERS.....GOV. MATAWALLE TELLS PRESIDENT BUHARI

My plea with President Muhammadu Buhari to halt all study leaves, foreign transfers, postings of officers critical to take-off of incoming administration  Beyond the remarkable achievements of his administration in all sectors, President Muhammadu Buhari has demonstrated that he is a patriot, democrat and a man of impeccable integrity and character. Perhaps more than ever before, this has been on display even in the twilight of his administration. President Buhari has about two weeks left of his eventful tenure. Last week, he and his family officially moved out of their residence at Aso Rock Presidential Villa into a place called the Glass House, also within the precinct of the Villa. And we witnessed an astonishingly respectable spectacle of First Lady Aisha Buhari taking Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, round the Presidential Villa, their soon-to-be- abode. President Buhari and his wife Aisha Buhari have shown good faith and shown the

APC'S ZONING ARRANGEMENT PROMOTES INEQUALITY..... AKEREDOLU

Image
PROPOSED APC ZONING FORMULA FOR NASS LEADERSHIP POSITIONS IS A SKEWED ARRANGEMENT THAT REINFORCES INJUSTICE AND ENHANCES INEQUITY It is with great concern, and indeed, with a huge burden that I read in the news of the purported zoning arrangement released by the National Working Committee of our Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) as regards the leader ship positions in the yet-to-be inuagurated National Assembly.  Aside the unpretentious ambiguity in the purported Press Statement issued by the leadership of the APC, the contents, intentions and motives of the zoning formula represent early signs of steps aimed at attempts to cabin the hard-earned Presidency for our Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by a few individuals with eyes on ASO ROCK POWER BUTTONS.  It is trite to aver, that, it stands logic on the head that one geo-political zone, Northwest in this regard, will be favoured with two presiding officers positions out of four while North Central suff

MEET TAJUDEEN ABASS, APC CONSENSUS CANDIDATE FOR THE POSITION OF NUMBER FOUR CITIZEN.

10th NASS: Why Hon. Abbas Tajudeen should emerge as next Speaker Current political realities cum the true state of the nation demands that Nigeria gets it right by entrenching the right and proper leadership in its institutions. Much of the problem we have faced as a nation is as a result of the dearth of leadership which we have been plagued with collectively. While majority of Nigerians are elated with the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president-elect of the country, there’s is still more to be done to ensure that Tinubu’s presidency gives Nigerians the much expected and desired change. And in achieving this, there’s a need for the emergence of a speaker at the house of representatives who is fit and tailored enough to create a legislative backing for the Executive to dutifully deliver on its promises to thr Nigerian people. The outgoing leadership of Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, will definitely leave a big shoe to be filled for the next speaker, in the history
