President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Federal Character Commissioners at a brief ceremony held at the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja. Among the appointees was the former Algon Chairman,Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, who was sworn in as Federal Character Commissioner representing Oyo State. His appointment is part of the full complement of 37 commissioners confirmed by the Senate to serve on the Federal Character Commission (FCC), a constitutional body established to ensure equitable distribution of public posts and socio-economic infrastructure across Nigeria’s federating units in accordance with Sections 14 and 153 of the 1999 Constitution.
