A major political tsunami has hit the Oluyole Local Government chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo state as a former Secretary of the council and chieftain of the party, Alhaji Adedokun Wasiu Adegboyega, alongside his political followers, defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). The detectors were received at the residence of the executive chairman of the council, Engr. Akeem Olatunji on Wednesday, August 2. The defectors include: Mr Akindele Tajudeen popularly known as Oji, Alhaji Lateef Oladoja, Alfa Morounfolu Isiaka Lasisi, Mr. Ganiyu Olayiwola, Comrades Odunlami Olanrewaju, Akeem Atilola Kehinde, Olusegun Odetayo and Owolabi Tirimisiyu Ishola, all across different wards in the council. The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has commenced the grading of inner community roads across various parts of the council. The move according to him, is geared towards improving accessibility and easing transportation for residents within the council. The project, which covers several communities within Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, is part of the council administration’s efforts to address the condition of rural and inner-city roads that connect residents to major roads, markets, farms, schools and other essential facilities.
